Evening primrose is a rich source of vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids such as gamma-linolenic, palmitic, stearic and oleic acids, which is why it has a beneficial effect on the circulatory system and prevents heart diseases. Evening primrose seeds also contain protein rich in sulphur amino acids as well as tryptophan and minerals such as selenium, zinc magnesium and calcium. They lower cholesterol levels, have a strengthening and detoxifying effect on the body, and improve brain function.
